Producer Joyce Pierpoline has recently been appointed as the chair of BAFTA North America’s Board of Directors, succeeding Kathryn Busby. Pierpoline’s impressive credits include Mediha, which won the Grand Jury Prize at DOC NYC 2023, Angelica (2016), and the Sundance-winning Teeth (2007). She is the founder of Pierpoline Films, which is based in both New York and Paris. Pierpoline also holds the position of chair of BAFTA North America’s Film Committee and is the co-founder of the Producers Guild of America’s Women’s Impact Network.
Joining the BAFTA North America board alongside Pierpoline is David Linde, the CEO of Participant. Linde brings a wealth of experience to the board, having previously served as the CEO and owner of Lava Bear Films and the chairman of Universal Pictures. He also co-founded Focus Features.
