The Expansion of Neon’s Global Footprint

Neon, the renowned film distribution company, has recently made strategic hires to further strengthen its international marketing and sales team. Joey Monteiro has been appointed as the EVP of International Marketing, bringing with him over twenty-five years of experience in marketing and publicity. Ashley Hirsch has also joined the team as the Manager of International Sales and Marketing.

Monteiro has an impressive track record, having previously worked at Sierra-Affinity/eOne as the EVP of Marketing and Publicity. During his tenure, he was responsible for leading creative marketing campaigns for acclaimed films such as “Drive,” “Whiplash,” “I, Tonya,” “Manchester By The Sea,” and “Nightcrawler.” Prior to Sierra-Affinity/eOne, he held key positions at Warner Brothers Pictures and Lionsgate, where he contributed to successful marketing campaigns for blockbuster films like “The Dark Knight” and the “Harry Potter” franchise.

Hirsch, who previously worked at Sierra-Affinity/eOne alongside Monteiro, brings valuable experience as the Manager of Marketing and PR. Her expertise will complement Monteiro’s strategic vision as Neon continues to expand its global presence in the competitive film industry.

Neon’s current slate boasts a diverse range of films, including Steven Soderbergh’s “Presence” and the highly-anticipated sequel to “It Follows” titled “They Follow.” At the Cannes Film Festival, Neon will be showcasing “Anora” In Competition, the latest project from renowned filmmaker Sean Baker. Additionally, Neon’s recent release “Immaculate,” starring Sydney Sweeney, has garnered critical acclaim and commercial success, signaling the company’s continued growth in the industry.

With the addition of Monteiro and Hirsch to its international marketing and sales team, Neon is poised for continued success in the global market. The company’s commitment to innovation and quality content reaffirms its position as a leading distributor of independent cinema. As Neon expands its reach and partnerships, audiences can expect a diverse range of compelling and thought-provoking films in the years to come.
