Louis Tomlinson’s concert at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado had to be cancelled due to a severe hail storm. Concertgoers were eagerly waiting for the “Two of Us” singer to take the stage when suddenly, large hail stones started dumping down on them. The venue warned them about the incoming storm just moments before the chaos. Despite rushing to find shelter, seven people were taken to the hospital, and an additional 90 were treated for cuts, bruises, and broken bones in the medical tents. Many fans’ cars were also damaged in the storm.
Tomlinson’s Response
The former One Direction singer took to Twitter to express his sadness about having to cancel the show. He stated that he was “devastated” about the situation and hoped that everyone affected by the extreme weather had made it home safely and anyone who was injured was on the mend. He thanked his crew and the first responders for their “speed and care” in handling the situation in such “extreme circumstances.”
Wild Week for Concerts
This week has been a wild week for concerts, with many incidents involving crazy fan encounters. Bebe Rexha had to get stitches on Sunday night after a careless concertgoer hurled a cellphone at her face while she was performing in New York City. The alleged attacker, Nicolas Malvagna, was later arrested and charged with assault.
Just days later, a man rushed on stage towards the end of Ava Max’s concert in Los Angeles. While he was being escorted out by security, the man slapped the “Sweet But Psycho” singer in the face. Max tweeted after the show, stating that he had slapped her so hard that he scratched the inside of her eye. She also thanked her fans for being spectacular that night in LA.
Louis Tomlinson’s “Faith in the Future World Tour” is slated to continue, with his next stop in Seattle, Washington. Despite the disappointment of the cancelled show, fans are still excited to see him perform.
