Rod Stewart’s Children Urge Him to Retire and Focus on Family

Rod Stewart, the 78-year-old rock star, has received requests from several of his eight children to retire from music and focus on his role as a father and grandfather. The singer has been devoted to music for 50 years and his children believe he has nothing left to prove to anyone. Moreover, they are concerned about his health issues and age. They want him to focus on his health and family, particularly after the birth of his third grandchild.

Stewart has eight children from different relationships, ranging in age from 59 to 12. His oldest daughter, Sarah Steele, was put up for adoption by his ex-girlfriend, Susannah Boffey. However, they reunited later in life. He has shared two children, Kimberly and Sean, with his ex-wife Alana Stewart. With his ex-girlfriend Kelly Emberg, he has a daughter named Ruby. His second marriage to Rachel Hunter produced a son named Liam and a daughter named Renee. With his current wife, Penny Lancaster, he has two sons, Alaistar and Aiden.

The rock star is due to embark on a 40-show global tour starting June 24. He revealed in 2019 that he had successfully fought a secret three-year battle with prostate cancer. He beat thyroid cancer in 2000, and in April 2020, he underwent knee replacement and ankle fusion surgery after suffering a soccer injury.

Stewart’s family is hoping that he will retire after his tour ends. However, the singer does not want to stop and believes that his fans need him. Music is his life, and he does not know how to not create music. Nevertheless, his family is concerned about his health and wants him to stick to his decision to retire after his tour.

In conclusion, Rod Stewart’s children are urging him to retire from music and focus on his family. With his health issues and age, they want him to take a few years to concentrate on his health and his role as a father and grandfather. While the rock star does not want to stop creating music, his family is hoping that he will retire after his global tour.
