Paramount+ Expands Korean Content Slate with Three New Series

Paramount+ is further diversifying its global Korean content lineup with the addition of three new series produced in partnership with CJ ENM. These shows, titled “Dongjae,” “The Good Or The Bastard,” “Dreaming Of Cinde Fxxxing Rella,” and “Pyramid Game,” will be exclusively available on Paramount+ in multiple countries including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and Australia. Additionally, Paramount Global Content Distribution will license the series outside of Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. The expansion of Korean content on Paramount+ aims to cater to the growing demand for international shows and attract a global audience.

Dongjae, The Good Or The Bastard

“Dongjae, The Good Or The Bastard” serves as a spin-off to the popular thriller series “Stranger.” This gripping series revolves around Seo Dongjae, a lawyer from the original show, as he undertakes the murder case of a high school girl. Struggling between his roles as a prosecutor and an opportunist, Dongjae faces internal conflicts while trying to solve the case. Starring Lee Jun Hyuk, this spin-off series promises to take viewers on a thrilling journey. The show is created by Lee Su-yeon, directed by Park Gun Ho, and written by Hwang Hajung and Kim Sangwon.

Dreaming Of Cinde Fxxxing Rella

Created by Baek Mi-kyoung, known for hit dramas like “Strong Girl Bong-soon” and “The Lady In Dignity,” “Dreaming Of Cinde Fxxxing Rella” is a unique hybrid romantic comedy. The story follows a woman who unexpectedly meets her “Prince Charming,” despite her disbelief in love. Starring Pyo Ye-jin and Lee Jun-young, the series explores the complexities of relationships and challenges the notion of true love. It is directed by Kim Min-kyeong, written by Yu-ja, and produced by CJ ENM, Story Phoenix, and KeyEast.

Pyramid Game

“Pyramid Game,” created by JQ Lee, offers a thrilling narrative centered around a school girl’s pursuit to escape bullying. In order to survive a violent high school game, she transforms into a skilled “sniper.” With a talented cast led by Kim Jiyeon and including Jang Da A, Ryu Da In, Kang Na Eon, Jeong Ha Dam, Shin Seul Ki, and Yulli, this series tackles important themes of survival, resilience, and empowerment. Directed by Bak So Yeon and written by Choi Sui, “Pyramid Game” is produced by Film Monster and CJ ENM Studios.

The addition of these three series marks the completion of the seven titles committed by Paramount+ and CJ ENM’s streaming service TVing.
