Michael Jordan Expresses Disapproval of Son’s Relationship with Larsa Pippen

Larsa Pippen, who is currently dating Marcus Jordan, may believe that she is in a “great place” with her boyfriend’s famous family. However, it appears that basketball legend Michael Jordan has a different opinion on the matter. Larsa, 48, and Marcus, 32, first started dating towards the end of 2022, causing a stir among netizens due to their significant age gap and unusual connection. Notably, Larsa’s ex-husband is Scottie Pippen, who was both Marcus’ father’s Chicago Bulls teammate and former close friend. Despite Larsa’s earlier claims about receiving the family’s approval, Michael has made it abundantly clear that he does not endorse the relationship.

During a video captured by PageSix as Michael was leaving a dinner at Paris’ Matignon club, he was asked about his thoughts on his son’s relationship with Larsa. His response was a resounding “No!” As he entered his black van, he was asked again if he approved, to which he simply shook his head. Michael’s disapproval contradicts Larsa’s previous statements on The Tamron Hall Show in February, where she insisted that there was no animosity with the Jordan family. She expressed her belief that they were in a great place, emphasized their mutual motivation, and revealed that they had spent holidays together.

Larsa had been married to Scottie for over 20 years before filing for divorce in 2016. They later reconciled but ultimately filed for divorce again in 2017, finalizing the process in December 2021. Together, they have four children: Scotty Jr., 22, Preston, 21, Justin, 18, and Sophia, 14. Scottie also has two children from previous relationships, Taylor, 28, and Sierra, 27. Sadly, Larsa and Scottie’s eldest son, Antron, passed away at the age of 33 in April 2021, and Taylor’s twin sister, Tyler, died shortly after birth in 1994.

Regarding Larsa’s children, Scotty Jr. has followed in his father’s footsteps and signed with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2022. Preston graduated from high school in 2021 and has since maintained a low profile. Justin has explored both modeling and basketball, while Sophia, whose godmother is Larsa’s estranged best friend Kim Kardashian, has shown a passion for dancing and appeared on Dancing With the Stars: Juniors in 2018. As for Larsa’s stepchildren, Taylor works in finance as a vice president at JPMorgan Chase, while Sierra, who attended the University of Iowa, keeps a low profile, and little is known about her current activities.

In summary, Michael Jordan’s recent disapproval of his son Marcus’ relationship with Larsa Pippen contradicts Larsa’s claims that the couple has the family’s blessing. The situation highlights the complexities and conflicting perspectives that can emerge within families. Despite Larsa and Marcus feeling happy and motivated together, Michael’s reservations about the relationship are evident. The age gap and Larsa’s previous marriage to Scottie Pippen, along with the unfortunate losses experienced by the Pippen family, may have contributed to Michael’s disapproval. Ultimately, the differing opinions within the Jordan and Pippen families highlight the intricacies of navigating personal relationships in the public eye.
