Michael J. Fox, the famous Canadian actor, took to Instagram to share a series of heartwarming pictures with his wife, Tracy Pollan. The couple, who has been married for 33 years, celebrated Tracy’s 63rd birthday with their four children, son Sam, 34, twin daughters Aquinnah and Schuyler, 28, and youngest Esmé, 21. Michael shared a collection of romantic vacation shots with Tracy, along with some solo images of her. He also posted a family photo of all six members.
In his Instagram post, Michael wrote a beautiful caption, “‘She showers the people she loves with love, she shows them the way that she feels.’ Happy happy birthday @tracy.pollan my forever Summer girl, my love, my best friend, and the most beautiful amazing mom to our four stupendous kids. The actress and podcast host posted several photos of the birthday cakes that Tracy received and one in which she was serenaded by staff members at a restaurant while Michael sat beside her. Ali wrote, “Happy happy happy birthday @tracy.pollan. We love to celebrate you every day and all over the world!!! Love you so much!”
Michael and Tracy first met on the set of the TV show Family Ties, where Tracy played the love interest of Michael’s protagonist, Alex P. Keaton. The couple got married in 1988, just two years before Michael was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. In a recent interview with People, Michael and Tracy spoke about their relationship and how they support each other. Tracy said, “I think we really listen to each other, we are there for each other when we need each other,” while Michael added, “Tracy gives our family everything that we need. Any good in our family, anything good that we do, comes from her.”
In Michael’s documentary, which chronicles his life and career through his diagnosis with Parkinson’s Disease at the age of 29, he shares the moment when he told Tracy about his diagnosis. He said, “I told Tracy the news. ‘In sickness and in health’ I remember her whispering. No one outside of my family knew.”
