Michael Cera recalls Rihanna’s real slap in This Is the End

Actor Michael Cera has shared his experience of working with singer Rihanna on the set of the 2013 horror comedy This Is the End. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Cera recounted the real slap Rihanna gave him during filming and how he convinced her to do it.

Cera explained that he thought a real slap from Rihanna would look better in the film than a fake one. He said he didn’t have to persuade her much to do it and that the final cut used the footage of Rihanna’s real slap. The actor added that he was into it and had no regrets, even though the slap disoriented him by hitting his ear.
