In a strategic move to attract large-scale international projects and co-productions, the Mediapro Studio has acquired Fresco Film, a renowned production services company based in Malaga. With a history of working on popular shows like House of the Dragon, Westworld, and Killing Eve, Fresco Film made a significant impact by facilitating the filming of Game of Thrones in Spain. This not only helped in establishing a lucrative tax credit system but also attracted major global streamers, studios, and European production groups to the country. Laura Fernández Espeso, CEO of The Mediapro Studio, highlighted Fresco Film’s experience and professionalism, stating that their integration into the studio is excellent news for the industry.
