Jason Statham has been announced as the lead actor in a new action-thriller directed by Baltasar Kormákur. In this untitled film, Statham will portray Mason, a man living in isolation on a remote Scottish island. When he saves a young girl from a storm at sea, his quiet existence is disrupted by a violent attack, forcing him to confront his past.
Principal photography for the movie is set to begin in November, with filming locations in the UK and Iceland. The script for the film was penned by Ward Parry, and the production will be spearheaded by Statham himself for Punch Palace Productions, along with Kormákur for RVK Studios, and John Friedberg for Black Bear. Additionally, Jon Berg and Greg Silverman from Stampede Ventures are also attached as producers.
