Jason Derulo, the “Savage Love” singer, recently revealed on the Kyle & Jackie O Show that he spent around $30,000 on his son Jason King’s 2nd birthday party. The musician had previously shared a video montage of the extravagant event on Instagram, which included a bounce house, ball pit, full playground, arcade games, face painting, and more. The birthday boy was also celebrated with a two-tier Baby Shark-themed cake and sparklers.
A Father’s Love
In the caption of the video, Derulo wrote, “Two years ago, you entered my life and brought endless love, laughter, and mischief. From the adorable chaos of the terrible twos to the heart-melting moments that fill my days, you’ve stolen my heart in the most craziest way.” He added that he wished his son’s special day to be “filled with double the giggles, double the snuggles and double the joy.” Derulo also expressed that his son is their “greatest blessing,” and he can’t wait to see what the future holds for his little shining star.
Co-Parenting with Ex-Girlfriend
Derulo and his ex-girlfriend Jena Frumes welcomed Jason King in May 2021. The pair broke up just four months after their son’s birth. However, they remain on friendly terms despite Frumes’ claims that Derulo was “constantly” unfaithful to her throughout their relationship. She wrote on Instagram in July 2022, “We once did aspire to be married, but maybe it’s best to be single than to be in a relationship & constantly be disrespected & cheated on and lied to.”
Derulo spoke about co-parenting with Frumes, telling People in 2021, “We have an amazing relationship, and we don’t care if we’re confusing people about our situation because our situation is our situation.” Despite their differences, Derulo was later spotted supporting the 29-year-old model as she hit the runway at Miami Swim Week 2022.
