Italian writers Leonardo Fasoli and Maddalena Ravagli, known for their work on the critically acclaimed series Gomorrah, have embarked on an exciting new venture. Backed by ITV Studios, they have launched Dedalus, an independent production company that aims to revolutionize the Italian entertainment industry. Dedalus has wasted no time getting to work and is already involved in two exciting projects. The first, titled “Everything We Ever Wanted,” explores a tale of love and friendship set against the backdrop of mid-seventies Neapolitan mob activity. Directed by Francesca Comencini, this theatrical feature will unfold through two different time periods, offering a unique perspective on the story.
The second project, “Erba,” delves into one of Italy’s most disturbing crime stories. This television series will meticulously examine the context surrounding the shocking murders that gripped the nation in December 2006, as well as their aftermath. The success of Gomorrah, produced in collaboration with Cattleya, has laid the foundation for Dedalus. In addition to the launch of Dedalus, ITV Studios has announced the renewal of the popular UK format, My Mum, Your Dad. This Love Island-esque show brings together singles of a certain age and places them in a house while their children observe from an adjacent property. The show has garnered praise for its humor and heartfelt moments, making it a hit in the UK and several other countries. Casting for Season 2 is already in progress, and fans eagerly await the return of this heartwarming series.
