Ice Cube Joins Dave Bautista in Action Comedy “The Killer’s Game”

Ice Cube, the renowned actor, rapper, and entrepreneur, has been confirmed to star alongside Dave Bautista in the upcoming action comedy film, “The Killer’s Game.” The movie, directed by JJ Perry, known for his work on “Day Shift,” is set to begin production in Budapest this summer. While there is much excitement surrounding Cube’s involvement, details regarding his character have been tightly under wraps. Joining them in the cast are esteemed actors Ben Kingsley and Sofia Boutella, who are also on board for the film.

An Intriguing Plot Based on a Best-Selling Novel

“The Killer’s Game” is based on the popular novel written by Jay Bonansinga. The screenplay has been crafted by Rand Ravich and Simon Kinberg, with recent revisions made by James Coyne. The story revolves around Joe Flood, a seasoned assassin played by Dave Bautista, who receives a devastating diagnosis of a life-threatening illness. In order to avoid the inevitable pain, Flood authorizes a hit on himself. However, he soon discovers that he was misdiagnosed and must now face an army of his former colleagues, who are determined to eliminate him.

A Talented Production Team

The film is being produced by Andrew Lazar of Mad Chance, alongside Steve Richards from Endurance Media. Endurance Media is also financing the project, demonstrating their confidence in its potential success. Additionally, Kia Jam is involved as a producer. Dogbone Entertainment, headed by Dave Bautista and Jonathan Meisner, will serve as executive producers. The production team also includes Scott Lambert, while Jake Katofsky and Vanessa Humphrey will take on the roles of co-producers.

Ice Cube’s participation in “The Killer’s Game” adds to his already extensive filmography. Having appeared in over 35 films, Cube has showcased his acting skills and versatility in various franchises, including “Ride Along,” “Friday,” “Barbershop,” and “Are We There Yet?” Apart from his success in the entertainment industry, Cube is also the co-founder and CEO of the BIG3, a professional 3-on-3 basketball league currently in its sixth season.
