Double Emmy Winners Announced for 75th Emmy Awards

The Television Academy has just unveiled the recipients of the 75th Emmy Awards in various juried categories, including Animation, Costume, Hairstyling, Makeup, and Motion Design. Two notable winners of double Emmy awards are Max’s “We’re Here” and the ABC special “Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration.” These deserving winners will be honored at the dual Creative Arts Emmy Awards, which will take place on January 6 and 7 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The audience can witness an edited presentation of this event on Saturday, January 13, airing on FXX.

Unlike the traditional Emmy nomination process, juried Emmy categories undergo a thorough evaluation and voting procedure. A panel of professionals in the respective fields of Animation, Costume Design, Emerging Media Programming, Hairstyling, Makeup, and Motion Design screens the entries. The jurors engage in open discussions regarding the merits of each entrant’s work, ultimately determining whether an Emmy should be awarded or not. Consequently, this juried system doesn’t have any nominees but directly selects the winners based on the evaluation process.

One of the notable winners in the juried category is Disney+’s “Ms. Marvel,” which won the Emmy for Outstanding Motion Design. The award for this category will be presented on the first night of the Creative Arts ceremony, while the remaining awards will be given out on the second night.

The winners in the Animation category include:

– Max’s “We’re Here” (HBO Max)
– Netflix’s “Entergalactic” (Netflix/Mad Solar/Khalabo Ink Society/Edelgang)
– The Simpsons episode “Lisa the Boy Scout” (FOX/A Gracie Films Production in association with 20th Television Animation)
– “More Than I Want to Remember” (Paramount+/Mugeni Film LLC, MTV Entertainment Studios)
– Star Wars: Visions episode “Screecher’s Reach” (Disney+/PunkRobot Studio, Lucasfilm Ltd.)

Each winner in this category has demonstrated exceptional skill and creativity in their respective projects, showing why they deserve this recognition.

Both “Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration” (ABC/Done+Dusted in association with Walt Disney Television Alternative and Electric Somewhere) and “We’re Here” (HBO Max/HBO in association with House of Opus 20 and IPC) received Emmy awards in the Costume Design category. These productions displayed remarkable costumes and brought their characters to life through stunning visual design.

The double Emmy-winning show, “We’re Here,” also achieved recognition in the Hairstyling category. Another winner in this area is “Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration,” which received accolades in the Makeup category. The extraordinary hairstylists and makeup artists involved in these projects have undoubtedly demonstrated their exceptional talent and skills.

As part of the juried procedure, the panel of professionals carefully deliberated and evaluated all the entrants for certain categories. After thorough discussions and arguments for and against awarding Emmys, the panel concluded that no Emmys would be awarded in the concerned category.

The 75th Emmy Awards have recognized outstanding talent and creativity in the fields of Animation, Costume Design, Hairstyling, Makeup, and Motion Design. With double Emmy winners like “We’re Here” and “Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration,” the bar has been set high for future awards ceremonies. These deserving winners have showcased their remarkable skills and contributions to the television industry, leaving a lasting impact on viewers worldwide. As the Creative Arts Emmy Awards approach, we eagerly anticipate the celebration of these talented individuals and their remarkable achievements.
