Bow Wow Faces Backlash for Offensive Comment About His Baby Mother

Bow Wow, the rapper also known as Shad Moss, has recently found himself at the center of controversy after posting and subsequently deleting an offensive comment about Olivia Sky, the mother of his second child. According to a screenshot obtained by the Shade Room, Bow Wow wrote, “I WISH MY BABY MOTHER GOT RAN OVER BY A MACK TRUCK,” followed by, “NOT JOIE THE BUM BITCH YALL DONT LNOW (sic).” This derogatory statement has since sparked outrage among his fans and the public alike.

After the Shade Room shared the screenshot, Bow Wow commented, “BYRON IN REAL LIFE!”, referring to his role as Byron in the 2011 Tyler Perry-directed film, “Madea’s Big Happy Family.” In the movie, Byron’s ex (played by Teyana Taylor) misuses their child support funds, causing a strained relationship between the two parents. However, this reference did not alleviate the public’s disappointment in Bow Wow’s behavior.

Following the deletion of the controversial post, fans wasted no time expressing their disapproval. One person wrote, “That’s disgusting and a very ignorant thing to say about the mother of your kid!!” Another comment stated, “Thinking it is crazy. Posting it for millions of people to see is even crazier.” The public was particularly concerned about the impact of his words on his children, with one critic asking, “Why would you say that about the mother of your child? The fact that your children can even read this is crazy. What type of man does this?” A fourth user commented, “Perfect example of the saying ‘God don’t like ugly’… speaking/wishing such things on your child’s mother and having this kind of heart is ugly, and this is why you’ve been wack to everybody for a long time now.”

Page Six has reached out to both Bow Wow and Olivia Sky for their comments on the situation, but no response has been received at the time of this writing. It is important to note that Bow Wow and Sky welcomed their son in July 2020; however, Bow Wow did not publicly acknowledge his second child until September of the same year. This delayed announcement, coupled with the offensive comment, has raised questions about Bow Wow’s attitude towards his role as a father.

Bow Wow is no stranger to fatherhood, as he is also the father of a 12-year-old daughter named Shai. He welcomed Shai with his ex-partner Joie Chavis in April 2011. However, his recent actions have brought his parenting into question, causing disappointment among his fans and detractors alike.

Bow Wow’s offensive comment about his baby mother has sparked widespread backlash and criticism. His derogatory language and subsequent reference to a film character have only intensified the disappointment in his behavior. The public is particularly concerned about the impact of his words on his children and is questioning his ability to fulfill his responsibilities as a father. As the controversy unfolds, fans and observers eagerly wait for Bow Wow’s response and hope for a deeper reflection on his actions.
