Annette Hess to Receive Deadline German TV Disruptor Award at Seriencamp

Known for her work on hit series like Weisensee, the Ku’damm series, and The Interpreter of Silence on Disney+, based on her own novel Deutsches Haus, Hess has made a significant impact on the German television industry.

Fans of the Ku’damm series are eagerly awaiting the upcoming installment, Ku’damm 77, which Hess is currently in the process of writing with production scheduled for early 2026. In addition to the exciting lineup of projects, Seriencamp will feature sessions that delve into important topics like queer representation in TV. A session titled (Lost) Queerness In Series will explore how queer stories can break into the mainstream. The Screenwriters’ Lounge will provide a closer look at queer representation in story development, featuring industry professionals like Kai Kreuser, Marlene Melchior, Alejandro Mathé, and Marcel-Jana Urban.
