The incident took place on July 5 in Las Vegas, and the police report states that Spears accidentally struck herself in the face when her arm was pushed away by the basketball player. When Britney Spears initially filed the police report, she accused the team’s director of security, Damian Smith, of battery. The singer, accompanied by her husband Sam Asghari, approached Wembanyama from behind and tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention. She explained that she had seen him earlier in the day at the ARIA Hotel and wanted to say hello when she spotted him outside Catch restaurant. However, instead of a friendly interaction, Spears’ arm was forcefully pushed away by the security detail, causing her to inadvertently hit herself in the face.
