UCP is collaborating with Side Naegle, Jenna Bush Hager’s Thousand Voices, and Ali Krug’s Dinner Party Productions to bring to life a series adaptation of Chris Whitaker’s latest novel, All the Colors of the Dark. This exciting project will be adapted by Sarah Gubbins, known for her work on Pam & Tommy and Better Things. The team of executive producers includes Naegle, Krug, Hager, Ben Spector, and Whitaker himself, an accomplished author of other notable works such as Tall Oaks, All the Wicked Girls, and We Begin at the End.
The narrative unfolds in the quaint town of Monta Clare, Missouri, where the unexpected abduction of a teenage girl is thwarted by an unlikely hero. Patch, a one-eyed local boy with dreams of being a pirate, emerges as the savior in this unforeseen crisis. However, his act of bravery inadvertently sets off a chain of events that will forever alter the lives of all those involved. His loyal best friend, Saint, soon realizes that the line between success and tragedy is incredibly thin. As they embark on a quest for answers, they may uncover truths that could potentially tear them apart.
